Coconut Milk Variations and How to Choose

We offer three variations of coconut-based dairy alternatives, including organic coconut cream, milk, and light milk. They are all excellent substitutions for dairy in your everyday food and beverage. Especially single-sourced from the Mekong Delta, Vietnam, our coconut milk's taste and flavor are unique and perfect for various homemade recipes.

CocoGoods Co promises to produce our coconut products with only one quality, the best from tree to table. The products are certified with USDA Organic, Non-GMO, Kosher, and Halal.

However, understanding the differences in coconut milk variations is essential for choosing the right one and making the best flavor out of your recipes with time and money-saving.

Organic Coconut Cream

The most significant difference in these variations is fat content. Coconut cream has 20 - 22% fat content, and its texture is the creamiest. It is an excellent substitution to heavy cream to make dairy-free whipped cream on top of fruits, pies, ice cream, milkshakes, and more.

Organic Coconut Milk

Organic Coconut Milk

Coconut milk has 17 - 19% fat content, and it is the most preferred one among the three by our customers. It does have a creamy texture but less than coconut cream. Even though we call it coconut milk, it is not liquid like regular dairy milk. A little warm-up will make coconut milk melt and be ready for the next cooking step. Coconut milk is the popular dairy alternative for many ethical and other recipes, such as soups, curries, sauces, and desserts.

Organic Coconut Light/Lite Milk

We call it Coconut "Lite" Milk, and the fat content is only 5 - 7%. It is in a liquid form, and its creaminess is the lowest. But you can still find a rich and mildly sweet flavor from coconut milk. It can be used as a dairy-free ingredient in daily made-at-home beverages like coffee, tea, smoothies, cocktail, and other alcohol-mixed drinks.
