Things You Probably Didn't Know About Coconut Flour

What is coconut flour?

Coconut flour is a natural by-product of our factory's coconut oil production process. We cold-press fresh white coconut meat to produce extra virgin coconut oil. After removing from the cold-pressing equipment, dried coconut meat builds up and becomes coconut oil cakes. We then ground them up to make coconut flour. As a coconut product manufacturer, we use all parts of coconuts and turn them into valuable and healthy products. With a gift from nature like coconuts, nothing goes to waste.

The natural sugar in coconut meat is still retained and makes the flour mildly sweet. We can use coconut flour in various baking recipes, including bread, pancakes, cookies, muffins, and other baked goods.

Health Benefits of Coconut Flour

An alternative to wheat flour

Coconut flour contains no gluten that is ideal for those on grain-free diets, such as paleo. CocoGoodsCo Organic Coconut Flour has 100% organic and has only one ingredient. We only produce coconut flour and other coconut products in our manufacturing facilities and guarantee no cross-contamination with soy, almonds, peanuts, other tree nuts, and gluten-containing products.

High fiber content supports digestion

Coconut flour is found higher in fiber than wheat flour. Consuming more fiber from foods helps improve digestion, grow healthy bacteria in your gut, and prevent diseases related to the digestion system.

Control blood sugar levels

It is another benefit of coconut flour resulting from its rich fiber content because it decreases the speed of sugar moving to your bloodstream. Coconut flour has a lower glycemic index than wheat flour, which is less likely to cause a spike in blood sugar levels.
