LQC / CocoGoodsCo Improves Social Performance in Our Supply Chain with amfori BSCI

What is amfori BSCI and why LQC joins the platform?

Since 2003, amfori BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative), with its 11 code of conduct principles, has supported companies who are involved in the global supply chain and marketplace trade with purpose by improving social performance in their supply chain. They join the platform to enhance visibility over their sourcing and production activities in multiple countries. In other words, retailers and trading companies, through the amfori BSCI platform, ensure that their social compliance programs are correctly executed in the first stage of their supply chains without hiring more local resources for factory audits and maintenance.

Having participated in the amfori BSCI platform since 2016, LQC commits to learning and improving our social performance from coconut plantation to production and product distribution as parts of the supply chain. We aim to maintain our position as a socially responsible coconut manufacturer with a vision of safety, quality, responsibility to sustainable development.

CocoGoodsCo, an LQC global brand, is created to represent and communicate our social values and commitments to international B2B clients and consumers. We want "It's All Good" in every business stage we're involved in. The goodness we desire is not only delivered in every high-quality coconut product we produce but also to local growers, employees, communities, and the environment where our operations have occurred.

When working with LQC, retailers and trading companies, who choose amfori BSCI as their approved third party scheme to implement their Responsible Sourcing Program, have been much more efficient in completing annual social compliance audits. They save a significant amount of in-house time and resources for travel and conducting an audit of our coconut factory in Ben Tre, Vietnam. LQC schedules annual audits with a certified auditor, and reports on our performance and areas of improvement are transparently available that we can supply to our clients anytime upon request.
